Museums are dynamic and inclusive spaces open to all, designed to educate and inform. They play an important role in the communities in which they operate, seeking to raise awareness of the importance of discovering our heritage. The heritage which belongs to everyone and which must be preserved for future generations.
The Cláudio Torres Mértola Museum has always worked with different audiences, focusing especially on children and young people through partnerships with local institutions. This year we organised an event in collaboration with the Children’s Workshop of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Mértola. The result is an exhibition showcasing the children’s work, and we invite you to visit it!
The exhibition ‘The Museum goes to the Children’s Workshop’ is on display at the Museum Unit of the Palaeo-Christian Basilica in Rossio do Carmo, Mértola. It’s open for visits from 7th August to 20th September 2024, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9.10am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 5.30pm. Come and visit us; bring your family and friends!
