The Casa do Mineiro (Miner’s House) recreates a family home and seeks to show the physical reality of a space that was shared by parents and children when the S. Domingos Mine was operating (2nd half of the 19th century and 1st half of the 20th century).
In this space, objects, memories, symbols, and everyday hardships intend to stimulate the imagination and sensitivity of the visitors so that they can get an idea of how it might have felt to share a room with nearly 16 m2 on a daily basis,
