Developed through INTERREG IIIB – Pour la Cohésion des Territoires de l’Europe du Sud), with the partners Heritage Malta (Malta), Mértola City Council (Portugal), University of Évora (Portugal), Archaeological Museum of Alicante (Spain), Regione Liguria (Italy), Conzorcio Pisa Ricerche (Italy), Regione Lazio (Italy), Organization Poseidon (Thessaloniki – Greece), with the aim of rediscovering heritage from the archaeological and historical point of view, giving it a scientifically correct interpretation, accessible via all modern means of information and communication.
It sought to reinforce cultural bonds and territorial integration between the two shores, highlight territorial specificities of the Mediterranean region, and reinforce economic integration in the Mediterranean Basin through the organization of theme-based scientific meetings, training sessions, publications, and the creation of a museum network.
