The meeting of the Baixo Alentejo Museum Network took place on 14 September at the Heritage Centre in M\u00e9rtola. This Network, which forms part of the networks of the Baixo Alentejo Intermunicipal Community (CIMBAL), comprises its 13 municipalities and brings together professionals from the municipal museums. From the outset, it has benefited from the collaboration of the Rainha Dona Leonor Museum, a leading museum in this region, which was represented at the event, alongside a representative from CIMBAL and professionals from the museums of Aljustrel, Almod\u00f4var, Barrancos, Beja, Cuba, Ferreira do Alentejo, M\u00e9rtola and Moura.<\/p>\n
The meeting held in M\u00e9rtola focused on the organisation of the 8th<\/sup><\/span> RMBA Meeting, which will take place on 12 October 2026 in Moura, under the theme \u2018Risk Management in Museums: Between Safeguarding, Management and Planning\u2019, with a programme divided into two panels: \u2018safeguarding and protecting intangible heritage \u2019and \u2018risk prevention in museums: how to protect collections\u2019\u201d.<\/p>\n Holding the meeting at the Heritage Centre, which will house the future technical facilities of the Cl\u00e1udio Torres Museum of M\u00e9rtola and the Municipal Archive, forms part of the Network\u2019s strategy to promote good practices and share experiences, thereby supporting the fulfilment of museum functions and enhancing the work carried out by museums across the Baixo Alentejo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
