Under the terms of the Protocol between the M\u00e9rtola Municipality and the University of Seville, and in collaboration with ERA Arqueologia, the summer archaeological excavation campaign at the Largo da Feira Necropolis in M\u00e9rtola began on 13 July. The project is being conducted under the scientific supervision of Dr Pedro Albuquerque and Dr L\u00facia Miguel, and will run until 7 August, involving 14 archaeology students from the Universities of Seville and Lisbon, divided into two groups.<\/p>\n
The campaign builds on the archaeological work previously carried out at the site and, in addition to the excavation itself, includes training in the maintenance and conservation of archaeological structures, as well as recording and documentation techniques, in collaboration with at the team at the M\u00e9rtola Museum – Cl\u00e1udio Torres.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
